Additions:
- Added a tutorial
- Added a normal potion (The player will start with this rather than the Big potion)
- Added more detailed and structured descriptions for items.
- Added Flavor text to items
- Added new item info hover display
- Added indicator for selected weapon
- Changed values for weapons(Brought the Big potion and Molotov Potion’s blast radius down)
- Zoomed the camera out
- increased slowing effect for ice damage
Fixes
- Fixed multiple issues with the inventory
- Fixed elemental damage not killing enemies
- Fixed duplicate damage numbers being showed for fire and poison damage
- Fixed alchemy drops being hidden behind ground texture
My Thoughts
Not too much to say here but this update was done to really get the nitty gritty stuff taken care of. No real new content to speak of besides the new weapon. My goal with this update was to start setting the game up to be more structurally sound before moving on to new stuff. The good news is that now that this is out of the way, I’m gonna start working on some new stuff.
I have multiple ideas on what I want to add/change. I want to add a potion upgrade that drops a puddle on the ground, one that spawns little balls on hit that deal a small percentage of damage to enemies, stirring effects that can allow you to double up on other mods, healing effects and more. I also want to add new enemies/update a few. Generally I’m going to change the way enemies attack. Right now they attack if you walk in range and immediately deal damage to you. I want to change it so that the attack occurs only after the swing animation giving you time to get away. The reaper and big boy also need to change. Finally, I want to have a better system for discarding mods that rewards you with alchemy resources. And hit indicators that will show you your potion’s range on explosion.
